My problem is: "Will ran four miles on his first day of training. The next day he ran 1/3 of that distance. How far did he run the second day"

I need help. I think it is either 1 or it is 3 and 1/4. I'm undecided.

(1/3) * 4 = 4/3 = 1/1/3 miles

Thank you :)

I had a little feeling I was wrong as I'm relatively new to this subject.

You're welcome.

I have the same math problem, and ms. Sue made me confused... Is it 4/3 or 1/1/3?

1.5

I have the same problem but i donĀ“t understand.

To solve this problem, you need to find 1/3 of the distance that Will ran on his first day.

The first step is to determine the distance Will ran on his first day. According to the problem, he ran four miles on his first day of training.

Next, you need to find 1/3 of that distance. To do this, you multiply the distance on the first day (4 miles) by 1/3:

4 miles * 1/3 = 4/3 miles

So, Will ran 4/3 (or 1 1/3) miles on his second day of training.

Therefore, the correct answer is 1 1/3 miles.
