what intellectual, economic, philosophical, and racial factors helped create a new national mood more receptive to overseas expansion, during World War II?

How would you like us to help you with this assignment?

i need help answering this question?

Take one factor at a time.

How did intellectual factors create a new national mood?

Etc.

That's a huge question. Your reading materials should tell you what the attitudes were leading up to U.S. involvement in WWII. How did they change and why should also be in your reading materials. If you need additional reading materials, I will try to find some links for you.

what do they mean by intellectual factors?

I think they mean ideological factors. Isolationists dominated Congress and national thinking before the war, but the war forced America to know we could not be isolated behind our oceans, we had to be involved in "foreign affairs."

what else? what do they mean by economic and racial factors?

Economic means money. Did the U.S. stand to gain profits from overseas trade?

Racial factors have to do with discrimination against blacks and Asians.

I thought the US wanted to gain profits from overseas trade?

Yep.
