I have an assignment where I have to use bullet points. I already have an idea with many bullet points. However, under one of the bullet point idea, I have a few more ideas. Do I put those ideas in bullet points or what is the proper format?

Indent the sub-points beneath the main bullet point. Use bullets.

To be more specific, bullet points are indented five spaces, sub-points ten spaces:

- point 1

- sub-point one

- sub-point two

- point 2

When organizing your ideas in a bullet point format, it's important to maintain consistency and clarity. If you have a main idea represented by a bullet point and wish to include sub-ideas or additional details under it, you have a couple of formatting options.

Option 1: Nested Bullet Points
- Main Idea
- Sub-idea 1
- Sub-idea 2
- Sub-idea 3

In this approach, you can use a secondary bullet point (or a different symbol) to represent the sub-ideas beneath your main idea. This visually indicates a hierarchical relationship between the main idea and its sub-ideas. This format works well when you have multiple sub-ideas to include.

Option 2: Indented Text
- Main Idea:
- Sub-idea 1
- Sub-idea 2
- Sub-idea 3

With this approach, you maintain a consistent bullet point for all the ideas but use indentation to show the sub-ideas under the main idea. This format works well when you have fewer sub-ideas or if you prefer a simpler visual structure.

Both options are acceptable, so feel free to choose the one that suits your organizational style and the level of detail you want to present.
