I can't find a substance apart of water with a pH of 7,so i have a question, i don't know if water is the only neutral substance or if there are more which one's are those?

Any salt solution that doesn't hydrolyze in water will be neutral.
Any liquid (alcohol, gasoline, etc) are not ionized and they are neutral. I don't know if this quite addresses your question or not. If not I can try again.

what is hydrolyze?

react with water. For example,
The NH4^+ of NH4Cl reacts with water as follows.
NH4^+ + H2O ==> NH3 + H3O^+

or Na2CO3 the CO3^+2 ion reacts with water.
CO3^-2 + HOH ==> HCO3^- + OH^-

whereas, NaCl, neither cation nor anion react with water.

To better understand this, let's break it down:

1. pH of 7: A substance with a pH of 7 is considered neutral. It means that the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) and hydroxide ions (OH-) in the substance is equal, resulting in a balanced pH level. Water (H2O) is an example of a substance with a pH of 7.

2. Hydrolyze: Hydrolysis is a chemical reaction where a compound reacts with water to form other compounds. In the context of your question, "hydrolyze in water" means that when a substance is dissolved in water, it undergoes a reaction with water molecules, leading to the formation of different compounds.

3. Salt solution that doesn't hydrolyze: When certain salts, such as NaCl (sodium chloride) or KNO3 (potassium nitrate), are dissolved in water, they do not break apart into additional ions. These salts neither react with water to form new compounds nor change the pH of the solution. Thus, their solutions are considered neutral.

4. Other neutral substances: Apart from water and non-hydrolyzing salts, there are other substances that can be considered neutral. These include non-ionic compounds like some organic solvents (e.g., ethanol, gasoline) or certain gases (e.g., nitrogen, helium). These substances do not ionize or react with water, resulting in a neutral pH.

To summarize, water is not the only neutral substance. There are other substances like non-hydrolyzing salt solutions, organic solvents, and gases that can also be neutral. The key is to look for substances that do not ionize or react with water, resulting in a balanced pH level.
