let f(x)=-2x+4 and g(x)=-6x-7 find f(x)-g(x)

Can someone walk me through this problem? I still haven't gotten the hang of it.

all you have to do is sub in the values of f and g:

f(x)-g(x) = (-2x+4)-(-6x-7)

just add up all the terms and collect like values. What do you get?
