Which of the following legal publications is NOT typically updated with pocket parts?

Legal encyclopedias
Legal dictionaries
Digests
Treatises

Someone in my class says it treatises.. is it treatises or legal dictionaries?

I am confushed

Would you update treatises?

I think you might:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_treatise

but I think you might just publish a new edition of a dictionary.

It says some in the book that's where I am confused...but since the question is "typically updated" then should it be treatises. Because in the book it talks about including digests and you can update the dictionaries and encyclopedias..often..hummmm

Well, I agree that a treatise might not be typically updated.

it doesn't mention dictionaries!! but says it includes everything else

Then I suppose go with the dictionary. I do not think law dictionaries have pockets with updates, but I am not a legal scholar.

To determine which of the following legal publications is typically not updated with pocket parts, we should understand what pocket parts are.

Pocket parts are supplementary pamphlets that contain updated or revised information related to a legal publication. They are inserted into a pocket at the back of a book or a binder.

Legal encyclopedias, digests, and treatises are usually updated using pocket parts. However, legal dictionaries, which are reference tools that provide definitions and explanations of legal terms, are typically not updated with pocket parts.

Therefore, based on the information provided, the correct answer is legal dictionaries.
