Have I done the predicting part of assignment, now I need help with the simplifying part of the assignment. Can you please help me?

Here are the functions:

g(x)=(-3x^2)-(13x)-13
g(x)=(x-1)/(3x+1)

I don't see any way to simplify either one, except maybe to lose all the parentheses in the first one.
