Simplify:

1/5(-5a^2b^3)^2(abc)^4

How do you simplify this.

How does the "-5" play a role in this?
how would you get 1/5 of "-5"

1/5(-5a^2b^3)^2(abc)^4

= 1/5[(-5)^2(a^2)^2(b^3)^2][(a^4)(b^4)(c^4)]
= 1/5[25a^8b^10c^4]
= 5(a^8)(b^10)(c^4)

1/5 of "-5" would be -1 but you have to do the powers (exponents) before you do the division or multiplication
