Ms. Sue,

I have to do a presentation on Terrestrial Resource plan.

description of the terrestrial resource issue
management and sustainment plan for the terrestrial resource
Challenges or implications of your management and sustainment plan

I need some informations or websites in order to do some reading before doing this. Thanks

Let's start with what YOU know about the terrestrial resource issue from your assigned readings.

If you tell me what you know and understand about this topic, I'll be glad to find online resources to supplement it.

In the text they talk about environmental implication of mineral use, soils problem and conservation, deforestation, challenges of agriculture, loss of agriculture land global decline in domesticated animals and plants, environmental impact. The most important thing is I do not have a reading material on the description of terrestrial resource issue.

Please advise, Ms. Sue

You've just summarized the terrestrial resource issue.

We are rapidly using up our earth's mineral resources such as oil and gas. Due to global warming, overgrazing, and cutting down trees in rainforests, some of our soil has lost the ability to grow plants. Deforestation has added to global warming as well as depleting the soil. We've lost agricultural land due to these reasons plus expanding our cities and suburbs into former farmland. We're losing some undomesticated species of plants and animals due to the losses of their habitats. I doubt, though that we're losing domesticated species.

Ms. Sue,

Is there any websites that elaborate on terrestrial resource issue

I didn't find any good websites on "terrestrial resource issue." However, you can Google the specific issues that you've identified.

thanks

Ms. Sue,

My biggest problem is the description of Terrestrial resource issue

Terrestrial means land or on Earth.

A resource is anything that occurs naturally on Earth.

Check this dictionary site for more definitions of terrestrial and resource.

I described terrestrial resource issues above. Essentially people are destroying some of our terrestrial resources -- like soil, mineral resources (oil, gas), forests, and agricultural lands. This destruction impacts our environment, including many of our plants and animals.

Thanks a lot Ms. sue. I am going to try now. Have a great evening.

You're very welcome, Rose. Good luck -- I know you can do a great job with this presentation!
