I have to make a scale drawing of my desk. What are the scaled measurements?

My answer height is 55 1/8in width is 28 3/4in
55 1/8÷24=0.09
28 3/4÷24=2.29
Am I right?

No because yo nave to add 0.09 and 2.29, and see what that gives your but you are half right, hope that helps

But ms. Sue did it this way.

I have a quick question about what you posted above. Did you mean to put 55 1/8 divided by 24 = 2.29? This is because when I do Ms. Sue's method, I get 2.29 for 55 1/8.

55 1/8 = 51.125

51.125 / 24 = 2.29 inches = 5.8166 centimeters

28 3/4 = 28.75

28.75 / 24 = 1.1979166666666666666666666666667 inches = 3.042708333333332 centimeters

I hope this helps? :)

P.S. Sorry for the late post.

I am sorry, but I have to go for now. I will help you later or tomorrow.

To make a scale drawing of your desk, you need to determine the appropriate scaling factor. The scaling factor is the ratio of the measurements on the scale drawing to the actual measurements of the object.

In this case, let's say you want to use a scale of 1 inch on the drawing represents 24 inches on the actual desk. This means that each inch on the scale drawing represents 24 inches in reality.

To find the scaled measurements, you'll need to divide the actual measurements by the scaling factor. In the case of the height, which is 55 1/8 inches, the calculation would be:

55 1/8 ÷ 24 = 2.297

So, the scaled height would be approximately 2.297 inches on the scale drawing.

For the width, which is 28 3/4 inches, the calculation would be:

28 3/4 ÷ 24 = 1.1979

So, the scaled width would be approximately 1.1979 inches on the scale drawing.

Therefore, your scaled measurements would be a height of approximately 2.297 inches and a width of approximately 1.1979 inches on the scale drawing.
