A jet flies at an altitude of 52,800 feet. What is the height of the jet in miles?

I need help with this problem please

That is hilarious! I just googled this question because I was having trouble with this to!!! I am in middle school and my math teacher gave me this question on my skills practice worksheet. I have the answer finally!!!!!!

First you have know that there is 5,280 feet in 1 mile.
You then divide 5,280 to 52,800. You should get a quotient of 10 miles. So, in conclusion, The jet flies at an altitude of 10 miles.

The jet flies only 10 miles

52,800/5,280

10

bulshit

To find the height of the jet in miles, we can use the fact that 1 mile is equivalent to 5,280 feet.

To convert feet to miles, we divide the given altitude of the jet by the conversion factor.

So, dividing 52,800 feet by 5,280 feet per mile gives us:

52,800 feet / 5,280 feet per mile = 10 miles

Therefore, the height of the jet is 10 miles.

1 mile = 5,280 feet

52,800 / 5,280 = _______ miles

Not good help

woah woah woah... hold up... What jet besides military stealth bombers would fly at an altitude of 52,800 feet and how in the heck is this useful to someone not flying military aircraft or even ATC (Air Traffic Control)? School is cool and you need it, but sometimes it can't fix common sense. This is why I think our schools have been turned into silly schools in dumbing the population. The real math problem here is A+B=C in which A= altitude, B = brains, and C = common sense.. Make it more realistic like, An American Airlines 777 Boeing aircraft flies out of ORD (which is O'Hare Airport - Chicago) and is now at an altitude of 36,960 feet. What is the ALTITUDE of the 777 Boeing in miles? Answer- 7 Miles ....... NOW THAT'S EDUCATIONAL, REALISTIC AND YOUR NOT GOING TO TICK OFF PILOTS WITH STUPID QUESTIONS AT THE AIRPORT WHEN YOU GROW UP CAUSE YOU USED CORRECT LINGO AND KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!!
