How to factor 6x^3 + 12x^2 + 4x + 8?

I keep getting (6x^2 + 4)(x + 2).

Look at the original equation:

6x^3 + 12x^2 + 4x + 8

You can factor a 2 out of the whole equation:

2(3x^3 + 6x^2 + 2x + 4)

Now try to factor inside of the parenthesis:
How I factored it was I just did trial and error lol, I just takes some practice, when once you get good at it, you can see it right away.

Factoring everything inside paranthesis gives you the final answer of:

2(3x^2 + 2)(x+2)
