Use the derivative of sinx and cosx to develop the derivatives of y=secx and y=tanx? Help would be much appreciated

y = secx

y = (cosx)^-1
y' = -1 (cosx)^-2 (-sinx)
= sinx/cos^2x
= secx tanx

similarly for tanx, using the quotient rule
