On the global grid, the prime meridian is at _____.

0 degrees latitude
90 degrees latitude
0 degrees longitude
90 degrees longitude

I have eaten a prime rib at a resturant on the prime meridian, in Greenwich, England.

However, the greenwich prime meridian is not exactly on the prime meridian, due to an error Halley made many years ago. Many other counties, then said, why not us being prime. So nowadays, one has to specify the exact prime you are using.

But anyway, on Halley's prime, the restaurant was within walking distance of the Royal observatory, which according to western history, was used as the Prime Meridian by all British Navy Mapmakers for many years. But now according to British Law, it is now no longer on the Prime Meridian, the Prime is about 5 minutes East of there.

0 degrees longitude

On the global grid, the prime meridian is at 0 degrees longitude.

To understand this, it is important to know how the global grid system works. The global grid is a system used to identify locations on the Earth's surface using latitude and longitude.

Longitude lines run from the North Pole to the South Pole and measure east-west positions. The prime meridian serves as the reference line for longitude, and it is designated as 0 degrees longitude. This line passes through Greenwich, London in the United Kingdom.

Latitude lines, on the other hand, run parallel to the equator and measure north-south positions. The equator serves as the reference line for latitude, and it is designated as 0 degrees latitude. The equator is located halfway between the North Pole and the South Pole.

So, while the prime meridian is at 0 degrees longitude, 0 degrees latitude refers to the equator, not the prime meridian.
