Toward what audience did Martin Luther King Jr. direct his “I Have a Dream” speech? How is this clear from the speech’s language?
I have the speech already. I just need to know who the audience is. I kow its mainly blacks but my teacher wants something other thatn the obvious. And i need help to form a simple answer to a five page essay.

Dr. King's opening paragraphs seem to be addressed to everyone, specifically whites. But the majority of the speech addresses blacks.
I suggest your thesis statement says that Dr. King addressed both blacks and white in his speech. Then, in the first body paragraph, summarize what he told the whites. In the second and third paragraphs summarize what he addressed to the blacks.
Of course your first paragraph is the introduction and includes your thesis statement. Your last paragraph is your conclusion.
