What would be the converse of the ihop saying " come hungry leave happy"
This was my if then statement: if you come hungry then you will leave happy.
And for my converse I had: if you leave happy then you came hungry.
***is this right? Is it okay to to not put the "will" in the converse? If it's not please help me!
Since there is no conditional specified, there can be no converse.
However, given your interpretation, your converse is correct.
The "will" isn't really necessary at all, if you consider coming and leaving as sort of chronic events, one conditional on the other.
