Find all whole numbers which:
A: 20-x=x
B: 20-x-6=0
C: x+4=3+x+1

asked by KG
  1. A.
    20-x=x change this to 20= x+x
What same two numbers add to 20?

    B.
    20-x-6=0
Combine like terms 20 and -6
    Now you have 14-x=0
    Now solve for x

    C.
    x+4=3+x+1
Combine like terms 3 and 1
    x+4=4+x

In this problem the equations are the same. So there are an infinite amount of numbers you could place there.
