Below is what I have to do for English It is very confusing to me

General Instructions
Single –space your prewriting, but double space your drafts. After preparing a rough draft read the evaluation criteria and revise your work carefully, correcting any errors you find
The final product should be a well polished and must contain three paragraphs of 8 to 15 sentences each
Background
Your office manager, Daisy Miller retired three months ago. You were promoted to office manager for DMD Company where you began as a clerk 10 years ago. The company has been in business for 50 years
And currently employs 125 people. You manage four employees: Jack Snyder, Rachel King, Bonnie Disselkoen, and Molly Smakoski. Your office provides secretarial support for the eight members of the executive team. You employees have been assigned to the members of the team as follows:
Jack is assigned to Ralph Cajun and Jessica Hilo
Rachel is assigned to Melanie Razor and David Thomson
Bonnie is assigned to Samuel Daily and Frank Daily
Molly is assigned to Larry Miller and Victor Potack
You’ve noticed that Jack and Rachel frequently have nothing to do, while Bonnie and Molly usually require overtime hours at least twice a month. You learn that Melanie Razor and Jessica Hilo share a full-time administrative assistant who completes most of their secretarial work. On the other hand, Samuel and Frank Daily have no administrative assistant and Larry Miller’s assistant works only 15 hours a week.

You decide it's time to write a short argument to convince your supervisor, Liz Jakowski, whom you don’t know well, to introduce changes that will improve productivity in your office.
Brain storm, use clustering or webbing, and freestyle to explore possible solutions to the uneven productivity in your office. First assume that the DMD Company is similar one as a medical office assistant. Make up facts and figures and analysis related to the following questions:

In what way am I uniquely qualified to persuade Liz to make the changes I recommend?
How does the uneven productivity impact my office?
Employee morale and the company’s finances?
How long has this situation been going on?
What are two or three solutions that might improve the efficiency of my office? What does each solution involve and how much work, time and money is required to introduce that change? How exactly does each change solve the problem? Which is the best solution at this time? Why?
How do I convince my supervisor that this change is cost effective and also convince my employees that it’s necessary and to their benefit?
Organize your prewriting according to the three paragraphs you must write Mark related information and choose what is most important for your audience don’t worry about complete sentences – just list, outline or map your information.

Paragraph1 problem definition mad impact on your office and the company.
Paragraph 2 One best solution you recommend and reasons for that specific change; contrast with the other possible solutions.
Paragraphs Benefits to your office, your supervisor, and the company
Draft your three paragraphs using complete sentences that logically flow from one to the next and that are focused and unified. Remember each paragraph must be 8 -15 sentences
Paragraph 1 Define and analyze the heart of the problem your solution targets,]... Provide facts figures and explanation and clarify the problem for your supervisor Describe how it affects efficiency and the company the reasons it is a problem to be concerned with your purpose is to persuade your supervisor that a problem exits
Paragraph 2 introduce changes that you recommend and explain the way to solve it solves the problem as defined in paragraph 1 Summarize other solutions you consider but discarded and explain why you have focused on this particular situation The purpose of this is to persuade your supervisor your choice is most effective and appropriate for the situation your company in solving the problem.
Paragraph 3 Describe the specific benefits your office, your supervisor and the company will reap from this solution. Your purpose is to convince your supervisor that the solution will transform your office from inefficient and unmotivated to well organized and productive

Evaluating Criteria

Your prewriting organized details’ by paragraph and drafts indicate creative yet realistic thinking thoughtful revision and attention to detail The second draft shows significant changes to the first incoherence and unity the third paragrapgh shows any further major changes as well a s careful editing

Each paragraph should have only one topic all other sentence should support the topic sentence

Ok this what I have so far it say that you need to brain storm

I have may years working with the puplic
been at the company for a long time
the uneven productivity has a bad impact on the company
may lose clients if roblem is not fixed soon
giving the company a bad name
morale is getting low
company finances is slowly sinking
this problem has been going on for over a month
Hiring extra help in the long run will improve efficiency
if the employee don't feel as stressed they will do better at their job which will incrase company morale

that all I have so far for bran storming

I think I have to show my brain storming how would I do that I need to actually do this lesson on Microsoft Word it is a bit confusing for me

I would like to know if someone could please check my work as I do it (if possiable I know you get busy) any help would be great There is to much information on what I need to do and I am getting confused

The first thing you need to do is to match what you currently have for brainstorming with the very clear and specific directions you've been given for what each paragraph should include:

Your current brainstorming list is a start, but nowhere near complete. Take each paragraph's directions separately and brainstorm in three sections, one for each paragraph.

You can't move on until you do a thorough job of brainstorming -- especially when your instructor has given you such detailed directions for what to include in each paragraph.

Re-post when you have finished brainstorming.

This is a complex assignment.

Your brain storming is an excellent start. Please also consider that Jack and Rachel often have very little to do. Bonnie and Molly seem to be overworked. Is there any way to even out their duties? What about the administrative assistant who works for Melanie and Jessica? Is she necessary -- or could she be assigned other duties?

I suggest you make a Venn-type diagram or chart to show who works for whom.

We'll be glad to help you as you work on this assignment.

I understand that you're feeling confused with the instructions for your English assignment. I'll try my best to help you break it down and provide guidance.

First, let's start with the brainstorming part. Based on the information provided, you can brainstorm ideas by considering the following questions:

1. In what way are you uniquely qualified to persuade your supervisor, Liz, to make the recommended changes?
- Mention your years of experience in the company and your familiarity with the office dynamics.
- Highlight any specific skills or knowledge you possess that make you suitable for proposing and implementing changes.

2. How does the uneven productivity impact your office?
- Mention the consequences of the uneven workload distribution, such as some employees being idle while others are overworked.
- Discuss how this impacts the overall efficiency and productivity of the office.
- Consider the negative effects on employee morale and the financial implications for the company.

3. How long has this situation been going on?
- State that this issue has been ongoing for over a month, highlighting the urgency to address it promptly.

4. What are two or three possible solutions that might improve the efficiency of your office?
- Propose solutions like redistributing workloads more evenly, hiring additional support, or implementing a new task management system.
- For each solution, explain what it involves, the amount of work, time, and money required, and how it addresses the problem.

5. Which solution is the best at this time, and why?
- Evaluate the proposed solutions and explain why the recommended solution is the most effective and appropriate for the current situation. Consider factors like cost-effectiveness and the potential impact on employee morale and productivity.

6. How do you convince your supervisor that the change is cost-effective while also persuading your employees it is necessary and beneficial?
- Highlight the long-term benefits of the recommended solution, such as increased efficiency, reduced employee stress, and improved morale.
- Explain how the solution aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide any relevant facts, figures, or examples that support the cost-effectiveness and benefits of the proposed changes.

Now that you have brainstormed your ideas, you can start organizing them into three paragraphs, as instructed. Begin each paragraph with a clear topic sentence, and make sure that all other sentences in that paragraph support that main idea.

For paragraph 1, focus on defining and analyzing the heart of the problem and its impact on your office and the company. Provide facts, figures, and explanations to clarify the problem for your supervisor. Your goal is to persuade your supervisor that a problem exists.

For paragraph 2, introduce and explain the recommended changes/solutions. Summarize other solutions you considered but discarded and explain why you focused on the specific solution you are proposing. The purpose here is to persuade your supervisor that your choice is the most effective and appropriate.

For paragraph 3, describe the specific benefits that your office, your supervisor, and the company will gain from implementing the recommended solution. Convince your supervisor that this solution will transform the office from inefficient and unmotivated to well-organized and productive.

Remember to use complete sentences, maintain coherence and flow in your writing, and ensure your paragraphs are focused and unified. Keep each paragraph between 8-15 sentences.

Once you have written your three paragraphs based on these guidelines, you can revise your work and correct any errors you find. Make sure to double-space your drafts and ensure your final product is well-polished.
