John asked Lee what he talked with the travel agent regarding their journey to London. Then, Lee told that the agent informed him that it takes some more time, at least one week. For which, John asked him about whose work he was talking about. Upon which, Lee replied that he was telling about his (john) work only.

    There seem to be two different conversations going on -- one about travel and one about work.

    John asked Lee what he had said to the travel agent about their journey to London. Lee said the agent told him that it<~~I don't know what "it" is takes more time, at least one week. (The second sentence really doesn't make much sense unless you clarify what "it" is.)

    John asked Lee whose work he was talking about. Lee replied that he was talking about John's work only.
