Density (d) is mass (m) divided by volume (V) (d = mV). Mass is typically measured in grams (g), while volume is typically measured in milliliters (mL). How much volume will 550 g of a solution with a density of 1.10 g/mL occupy?

1. You have the problem spelled out so well, why not just use d = m/v or
v = m/d = 550 g/1.10 mL = ? mL.

Thank you Ann! I had the equations and really was closing in on the answer... (stopping for 23 s is what really got me confused) in either case, the displacement for a) is 888 m ! Now I'll try to calculate (b). Thank you much!
