how do you make a decimal into a fraction?

1. Divide the top number by the bottom number. For example 1/2, divide 1 by 2 and you get 0.50.

For the denominator put down a 1 followed by as many zeros as you had decimal places. Reduce the fraction to lowest terms if needed.

e.g. .567 = 567/1000
