Justin wants to be the captain of an aircraft carrier when he gets out of school. Which subjects should Justin study to help him prepare for his career?

A.biomedical science and meteorology
B.oceanography and paleontology
C.chemistry and biology
D.physics and computer science
Is the answer A?

My answers are for California Connections academy. I guess it was kinda easy, but some I didn't know.

1. C
2. A
3. D
4. B - Biology & chem
5. D - Physics & computer science .....

yeh..

1 is C not D but other than that Dearsupichu is correct

Cece is right

well, they would be nice to know, but the crew of the carrier would presumably include a doctor and weather guy.

I'd pick D over A. Modern ships have lots of computers on board, and a knowledge of physics would come in handy in handling the ship.

Frankly, I don't like any of the answers but I agree with Steve, D is the best choice of those listed. I would like to see at least a course or two in "boatsmanship".

its d.

Cece is 100% correct thank you 😁

its d

To determine which subjects Justin should study to prepare for a career as the captain of an aircraft carrier, let's analyze the options given:

A. Biomedical science and meteorology: While biomedical science is important for medical careers, it is not directly relevant to the position of an aircraft carrier captain. Meteorology, on the other hand, could be useful for understanding weather patterns and their impact on naval operations, so it is somewhat relevant.

B. Oceanography and paleontology: While these subjects may be interesting, they are not directly applicable to the role of an aircraft carrier captain. Oceanography focuses on the study of the oceans, while paleontology is the study of prehistoric life. They don't directly align with the skills and knowledge required for the position.

C. Chemistry and biology: These subjects can be beneficial for understanding scientific principles, but they are not directly relevant to the role of an aircraft carrier captain. While having a basic understanding of biology and chemistry is useful, they are not the primary subjects to focus on.

D. Physics and computer science: Physics is highly relevant for understanding principles related to mechanics, motion, and energy—subjects that are directly applicable in the operation of an aircraft carrier. Computer science is also important, as modern naval operations rely heavily on advanced technology and computer systems.

Therefore, the correct answer is D. Justin should study physics and computer science to help him prepare for his career as an aircraft carrier captain.
