How do you paraphrase this statement? A brain aneurysm is a ballooning-out of the wall of an artery in the brain. Often this wall is weakened by disease, injury or an abnormality present at birth. Aneurysms are often caused or made worse by high blood pressure. They aren't always life-threatening, but serious consequences — such as a stroke — can result if one bursts in the brain. This is called a hemorrhagic (or bleeding) stroke.

A weakened wall possibly caused by disease, injury, birth abnormality, or high blood pressure can lead to a brain aneurysm in which an artery bursts. While it may not always be deadly, the consequences can be severe and result in a hemorrhagic stroke.

*English isn't my best subject, but this is an example of how I was taught to paraphrase.

Here are a few websites that will teach you how to paraphrase well:

To paraphrase the statement, you can say:

"A brain aneurysm refers to the expansion of an artery's wall within the brain. This phenomenon commonly occurs when the wall is weakened due to various factors like disease, injury, or a congenital abnormality. Aneurysms are often influenced by high blood pressure, either as a causative or exacerbating factor. While not always posing an immediate life-threatening risk, a burst aneurysm in the brain can lead to severe consequences, such as a hemorrhagic stroke characterized by bleeding."
