If the lengths of the sides of a triangle are in the ratio 8:4:5 and its perimeter is 48cm find its area
8+4+5 = 17
So, we have 17x = 48
x = 48/17
You can use Heron's formula to find the area of a triangle with sides 8,4,5. Now just multiply that area by (48/17)^2
An odd set of values, I must say.
