People would start to go out more to clubs and social gatherings, even asking a special person out to dinner. People probably would not go to any of these places, if they did not feel confident about themselves. That is why is good to exercise and feel proud of the results that exercise does to people's body and build more confidence
Your first two sentences are fine. Let's change the last sentence to:
Pride and self-confidence are but two of the benefits of regular exercise.
