  4. 7(x-2) /(x-2) = 7 * 1 = 7
    but x may not be 2 or the original denominator would be zero

  11. I guess C
    which is
    7; where x =/ 2
    assuming that x=/2 means not when x = 2

  15. haha here's my last question

    Suppose that y varies inversely with x and that y = 4 when x = 6. What is an equation for the inverse varition?

    y = 6/4x

    y = 24/x

    y = 2/3x

    y = x/24

  16. y = k/x

    4 = k/6

    k = 24
    so
    y = 24/x

    Just do what it says :)
