How do I solve an inequality like this?
-4x-8>4, I know that answer is 3 but every time I solve it I get 1 .
-4x-8>4
-4x > 12
divide both sides by -4
x < -3
You add and subtract jus like you would for an equation, but when you divide by a negative, like I did in the last step, you MUST reverse the inequality sign.
