4. A spinner is divided into 10 equal sections numbered from 0-10. You spin the spinner once. What is P(not even)?

A. 3/5
B. 1/2
C. 5/11
D. 6/11 (I DON'T GET THIS)

If you spin it once, it has a 50% chance of landing on the odd numbers, and a 50% chance of landing on the even numbers. So, the probability of it landing on the ones that are not even is 1/2. The answer is B.

Your right Silver, I agree with that answer and its right on the test, thanks for the help understanding the problem and not just giving the answer!

This can't be right. Ten sections would be numbered 0-9 or 1-10, yes? No?

11 numbers, 6 of which are even if you count 0 as even (there are evidently 10 spaces between numbers but 11 numbers)

so 6/11
but the question is poorly worded.

Valid point by Writeacher,

if they they are numbered from 0-10 , there would be 11 sections.

Clarify before I answer it.

thank you and i had asked my teacher and she said it was scheuled to be updated since the question was wrong.

The answer is actually 5/11 because he asking what s the probability of rolling a number that is not even.

what are all the answers

its 5/11 because 0,2,4,6,8,10 are even, that is six numbers but we want to know what i not even which is 1,3,5,7,9 that is five numbers, so the P (not even) is 5/11

and it cant be 1/2 because there is no half of eleven
