  1. 216 = 6^3 <-----> log6 216 = 3

    How did you ever get 0 as an answer?
    That is not even an equation !
    I suggest you memorize the definition of logs

    16-(1/4)^-2 1/2

    No idea what that is supposed to be.
    Was that supposed to be an equation like your question suggested?
