  10. I saw two estimates. One was of "pure" indigenous people and estimated the number to be about 300,000. The other estimate was of those with indigenous ancestry along with African or European ancestry. That was about 800,000. Obviously, there is no precise known number. I'd guess 200,000 as closer than numbers in the millions.
