Determine which ordered pair is NOT a solution of y = -5x - 4

1: (10,-52)<-- My answer
2: (7,-39)
3: (-7,31)
4: (8,-44)

find three solutions of the equation y =9x-4
1:(-5,-49), (-2,-22), (3,23) <- My Answer
2:(-5,-49), (2,-22), (3,23)
3:(-5,-49), (-2,22), (-3,23)
4:(5,-49), (-2,22), (-3,23)

Determine which pair of points has a positive slope.

2: (-10, -2), (6,6)

4: (5,-1, (-6,6)

    If you plot your points you will see that it is (8,5)
    notice that now two pairs of points have the same x , making the lines vertical, and 2 pairs of points have the same y, making the horizontal.

    #4, your answer:
    (5,-4) and (-2,1) -- slope = (1-(-4))/(-2-5) = 5/-7
    my points:
    (-10, -2) and ( (6,6)
    slope = (6-(-2))/(6-(-10))
    = 8/16 = +1/2
