two numbers rolled can be added to get a sum. Find P(sum is even)

is it 1/4 ? or 1/2? I think it is 1/4

    possible sums of 2 dice is
    2 , 3, 4, .... 11, 12, there are 11 of those
    the evens are:
    2 4 6 8 10 12 or 6 of them

    so prob(even sum) = 6/11

  13. Two numbers rolled! So two six sided die are rolled, what's the probability that its sum will be even. (Possible outcomes)
    1,1 1,2 1,3 1,4 1,5 1,6 2,2 2,3 2,4 2,5 2,6 3,3 3,4 3,5 3,6 4,4 4,5 4,6 5,5 5,6 6,6. (I did not include specific sets [such as 2,1] because they we're already listed just in different orders [1,2]) So, the possible sums are 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12. So out of these numbers, what's the probability an even number will be chosen? Well there are six even numbers and 5 odd numbers which means there is a 6/11 chance the number will be even and 5/11 that it will be odd. Hope you understand better!

  14. If you don't understand Jacks answer lemme tell you 1 is not a sum. So there are only 11 possible outcomes and 6 are even (2,4,6,8,10,12). So 6/11 is correct.
