- She's really tall.
2. What's the boy like?
- He is cute.
3. What's she like?
- She is handsome.
(Are they grammatical?)

All are grammatical, but females are rarely described as handsome (unless they're old!). I'd substitute "beautiful" or "attractive" in its place.

- He is pretty.
(What about this answer? Can we answer like this?)
No ... if you tell a boy he is pretty, he'll be very insulted!
Females -- pretty, attractive, beautiful ...
Males -- handsome, attractive ...
