Find the domain of the function:

0=((y-4)/(8-sqrt(y)))

I see a few problems here.

1. In the usual terminology, the word "function" implies the relationship between two variables, usually x and y, where the value of y depends on x.
You have an equation that contains only one variable y
(the "solution" to your equation would be y = 4)

2. The word "domain" usually refers to the choice of x's you may use in your calculation of the expressio
The world "range" usually is used to refer to the choice of y's in your expression

If we replace the Left Side of 0 with f(y) then we could say that the restriction on y is ,
y ≥ 0 , y ≠ 64

Check into the typing of the problem.
