I'm in 4th grade this is my problem samantha has 14 yards of ribbon.she wraps 12 presents and uses 5/6 yard of ribbon to decorate each present.the total amount of ribbon she used is modeled in the diagram below
(5/6) * 12 = 10 yards used for the 12 presents
she has 14 - 10 = 4 yards left over
Stacia buys 6 yards of ribbon to make a costume.she has 2 feet of ribbon left over.how many feet of ribbon did Stacia use to make the costume?
i would solve it by using information.i came up with 10.

Answer: 16 feet
6 yards equals 18 feet
2 feet is 24 inches
18-2=16
