I posted this question the other day but all the websites I was given were about the negative effects and the people against the United States depending on foreign oil. Are there any articles that are for the U.S. dependence on foreign oil? I have to write my essay about the two sides of the issue.

It's difficult to be for the U.S. dependence on foreign oil. However, we have little choice for the forseeable future. We don't have nearly enough domestic oil to meet our needs. Drilling in Alaska is not environmentally sound, and besides Alaskan oil still wouldn't come close to make us independent of foreign oil.

Let's face it, we live in a global economy in which we must trade with other countries that have the commodities and resources we need. At this time, we don't have acceptable and efficient alternatives to foreign oil. Ethanol, using food crops that could be used to feed the world's hungry people, is an unethical and impractical substitute.

Until we develop effective substitutes for oil, it looks like we will remain dependent on it for a long time.

The only site I found that might help you is this one.

Ms sue has been answering questions on this site since 2008? Wow.

To find articles that present a positive viewpoint on the United States' dependence on foreign oil, you can follow these steps:

1. Start with a targeted search query: Instead of conducting a broad search, refine your search query to include specific keywords that reflect a positive perspective. For example, you can try using terms like "benefits of US dependence on foreign oil" or "advantages of foreign oil for the United States."

2. Utilize trusted sources: Stick to reputable sources such as scholarly journals, government reports, and well-known news outlets. These sources tend to provide a more balanced analysis and support their claims with evidence.

3. Use advanced search techniques: Most search engines will allow you to refine your search further. Utilize filters such as date, document type, and specific websites to narrow down your results. This can help you find more recent articles or sources from specific organizations, which may offer differing perspectives.

4. Explore different viewpoints: Even if an entire article may not solely focus on the positive aspects of US dependence on foreign oil, it may contain sections or points that are relevant to your essay. Be sure to consider multiple sources and perspectives to provide a well-rounded analysis.

5. Interrogate the sources: When you find potential articles, examine the credentials and expertise of the author or organization publishing the content. Check for any potential biases that may affect the objectivity of the information.

Remember, it's important to critically evaluate the information you find and corroborate it with other reputable sources to present a comprehensive and balanced view in your essay.
