Please Help!!!!!!!

1/2+4/7p>13/10

The p is beside 4/7. I have been stuck on this all morning any help and how it was solved would be appreciated. Thanks for your time and help.

Change to common denominator (70).

35/70 + 40/70p > 91/70

40/70p > 56/70

p > 56/40

To solve the inequality 1/2 + (4/7)p > 13/10, we need to isolate the variable "p" on one side of the inequality sign.

1. Start by subtracting 1/2 from both sides:
(4/7)p > 13/10 - 1/2

2. Simplify the right side of the inequality:
(4/7)p > 13/10 - 5/10
(4/7)p > 8/10

3. Convert the fraction 8/10 to a decimal:
8/10 = 0.8

4. Rewrite the inequality with decimals:
(4/7)p > 0.8

5. To eliminate the fraction, multiply both sides of the inequality by the reciprocal of 4/7. The reciprocal of any number is obtained by switching the numerator and denominator. So, the reciprocal of 4/7 is 7/4 (or 1.75):
((4/7)p) * (7/4) > 0.8 * (7/4)

6. Multiply the fractions on both sides:
(4/7) * (7/4) * p > (0.8 * 7/4)
p > 5.6/4

7. Simplify the right side of the inequality:
p > 1.4

So, the solution to the given inequality is p > 1.4.
