Rock Climbing can be a tough sport, indoors or outdoors, but it can also be fun and adventurous. If you do not have the proper knowledge of clothing/equipment and techniques, then maybe rock climbing isn’t for you. Rock climbing can be joyful, but for it to be joyful you want it to be as safe as possible. In this article you will read about the proper techniques, the proper equipments, and the correct clothing choices. The next time, or maybe even the first time, you go rock climbing, you will know everything you need to know, and be able to have fun.

The proper clothing choices, first of all, you cannot go rock climbing wearing 5 inch stilettos, dangle earrings, a skirt, and a silk tank top. These clothes may be stylish, and they might be fun, but they aren’t safe! The first thing is long pants, they will help prevent injury, and instead of scraping you knee, it will cause most of the damage to your pants.
Next a shirt, wear a shirt made for sports, not for work/school. You may want to wear a dark shirt or a tank top. Attention Girls:: You may not want to wear a strapless bra, I have heard that it can make your day lot less enjoyable.

Now I can talk about equipment, where I will also tell you about hats and shoes! While yes, they can be considered clothes, they are also important enough to be considered equipment. Wear comfortable climbing shoes, not running! Make sure that the climbing shoes fit perfectly, not too big and not too small. It is best if they have arch support, and wear socks to prevent blisters, as your feet may get sweaty. Next is hats, everybody loves a good hat, but you want to be careful. You want a hat that will hide your head from the harsh rays of the sun, and make sure you wear sunscreen. You don’t want to go home as red as a lobster! Make sure you have plenty of water, not soda; water! You will use a lot of energy, so make sure you stay hydrated.

Here I will tell you more about equipment. First things first, make sure you have at least one experienced climber with you. Make sure you have a steady rope, and scan the area before you start treading. When you start climbing make sure you place your hands and feet in places that fit appropriately, called chimneys. There are more advanced techniques, and stuff, but maybe you should wait until you get a little more advanced in climbing.

Well, my name is Katt, and this has been me telling you, the need-to-knows of rock climbing. Be safe, have fun, until next time.

please it would be greatly appreciated no one will check it, thankies :)
