I am having hard time with this question. What are the possible dimensions of the Khufu pyramid, based on the information (asking height, side lengths, slant height)

" According to this site
115,000-200,000 casing stones were used
The stone blocks usually are larger in the lower layers (1.5m = 3 cubit) and smaller in the upper layers. Most are between 1.5 and 2 cubit large (average of 127 x 127 x 71cm). 1 cubit = 0.524m
Originally probably 210 stone layers, now only 201 layers"
It later gives the answers, but i can only calculate the height of the pyramid and even that is off .. we need to show work and how we got the answers..

my idea was, 0.71m x210 will be the height, if the stones are put laying down.. it gives 149.1 m that is 284.54 cubits (if we take 1 cubit = 0.524 m) if we use 3 cubits =1.5 m it will be 298.2 .. the answer should be 280. and i stuck right here..

To find the possible dimensions of the Khufu pyramid, we need to consider the information given regarding the number of casing stones used, the size of the stone blocks, and the number of stone layers.

Let's start by calculating the possible height of the pyramid. According to the information, the stone blocks are larger in the lower layers and smaller in the upper layers. The average size of the stone blocks is given as 127 x 127 x 71 cm.

There were originally 210 stone layers in the pyramid, but now only 201 layers remain. Assuming that each stone layer corresponds to the height of the stone blocks, we can calculate the height by multiplying the average height of the stone blocks (71 cm) by the number of layers (201).

Height = 71 cm x 201 = 14,271 cm or 142.71 m (since 1 m = 100 cm)

Now, let's consider the side lengths of the pyramid. According to the information, the stone blocks vary in size between 1.5 and 2 cubits (1 cubit = 0.524 m). To find the possible dimensions, we need to determine the range of values for the stone blocks.

The lower value would be 1.5 cubits, which is equal to 0.524 m/cubit x 1.5 cubits = 0.786 m.
The upper value would be 2 cubits, which is equal to 0.524 m/cubit x 2 cubits = 1.048 m.

So, the possible range for the side lengths of the pyramid is between 0.786 m and 1.048 m.

Therefore, based on the given information, the possible dimensions of the Khufu pyramid are:
- Height: 142.71 m
- Side lengths: between 0.786 m and 1.048 m.
