Becky is renting a car for her vacation. The rental costs $350 per week plus 20 cents per mile. If Becky can spend no more than $500, how far can she travel?

A) 450 miles

B) 625 miles

C) 750 miles

D) 800 miles
How do I figure this out??

Is it 450???

Do the equality the same way you do an equation.

350 + 0.2m ≤ 500

Subtract 350 from both sides.

Solve for m.

Its 750

the answer is 750

350 + 0.2m ≤ 500

No. Using the inequality I posted, how did you get that answer?

I don't know how to do inequalities....

So I took a guess...I thought 450 because that is less than 500 and she only has 500 dollars

Subtract 350 from 350 and 350 from 500? How do I get m?

350 + 0.2m ≤ 500

Subtract 350 from both sides.

0.2m ≤ 150

Divide both sides by 0.2

m ≤ 150 / 0.2
