this isn't exactly an emergency question- I still have a while to start this up, but I've wanted to start a business for the last 2-3 years- but I'm not quite sure I'll ever be able to get around to it- and I have A LOT of people beating me down for my dreams. Getting to the point, the business is my own brand of vehicle- I already have designs of trucks and cars- and I REALLY feel like I've got a future in this. What advice can ANYONE give me to start this business and how many employees do you think I should start with? What classes should I take in college? And does ANYONE know how to get car designs patented? A lot of businesses are getting WAY TOO CLOSE to my designs.

one other thing- what would YOU say to get sponsors to start off your first build? I already tried to get sponsors for a father-daughter project, but they declined and said that they weren't offering sponsor ships. Any ideas anyone?

and thanks Ms. Sue! that site is really helpful!

I suggest you get a couple of years of college before you make any more plans.

You're welcome.

Oh! I have one more question- not really important, just a 'before I forget'- but if you put yourself in my shoes, would you use your last name for your vehicles? Or would you come up with some random words for it?

I wouldn't do either one of those things.

I'd think and think and come up with a name that typifies the vehicle.

Here's an interesting example:
"Talon Zipper is a company founded in 1893, originally as the Universal Fastener Company, in Chicago. They later moved to Hoboken, New Jersey, and finally to Meadville, Pennsylvania. It was in Meadville that the zipper as we know it was invented, until then they were producing hookless fasteners for boots and shoes. Here, the zipper was mass-produced beginning in the 1920s. The high demand for zippers created favorable conditions for the Talon Company, and so became Meadville's most crucial industry."
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talon_Zipper

Think about the difference between calling this invention "Universal Fastener" and calling it "Talon"! (Think of an eagle's feet and talons!) Which one catches a buyer's imagination so that he/she knows exactly what that device would do?

well you see, I have names for each different vehicle- I just don't know what to call all of them to make them all... A family, I guess is how you'd put that. Like how you have "Ford", "Dodge," "Chevrolet", "Chrysler" and many others. But it does make sense, to catches imagination and gives people curiosity. thanks for that idea- I even had a few names for them, but those didn't suite the vehicles design- they were all the same in at least one way.

I just read that website. That's pretty cool thanks!

This man gonna be the next Elon Musk^^^

@lol- umm... thanks. But... I'm not a man
