Adrianna can read 7 pages in 10 minutes. At this rate, how many pages can she read in 25 minutes ?

7/10 = x/25

Cross multiply and solve for x.

14 pages = 20 minutes.

+ 5minutes
5 = half of 10 (7 pages in 10 minutes)
half of seven is 3.5 (3 and 1 half)
add 14+3.5= 17.5 and there is ur answer :)

idk either and i have this question in math so it's actually confusing for me.

So I multiply by 10 and 25 and when I get that answer do I multiply that by 7?

Use a Proportion. 7/1=x/25.Multiply 10 by 2.5 to get 25.Similary,multiply 7by 2.5 to get 17.5. 171/2 pages

what i don't get it

I think you 10x2=20 then 14 for per minute then ÷ 10 by 2 and get 5 and divide 7 and add that to the 14 and get your answer.

To find out how many pages Adrianna can read in 25 minutes at the given rate, we can set up a proportion based on the information given:

Pages read / Time taken = Pages read / Time taken

Let's plug in the values we know:
7 pages / 10 minutes = x pages / 25 minutes

To solve for x, we can cross-multiply and then divide:
(7 pages * 25 minutes) / 10 minutes = x pages

Simplifying the equation:
(7 * 25) / 10 = x

Now, calculate the result:
(175) / 10 = x
17.5 = x

Therefore, Adrianna can read approximately 17.5 pages in 25 minutes at the given rate. However, since we can't read half a page, the most accurate answer would be 17 pages.
