The perimeter of a rectangular park is 450m. the length of the sides are in the ratio 3:2.Find the area of the rectangle.

    Let the sides be of length 2x and 3x. Then you have

    2(2x+3x) = 450
    x = 45

    Now you know the length and width, so finding the area is a snap.
