divide 2x^35x^2+4x+2 by x +2 by x + 2
i got 2x^2x+6

Reiny
f(2) = 2(8) 5(4) + 4(2) + 2
= 16 20 8 + 2
= 10
so the division is not exact and you would have a remainder.
I got 2x^2 x + 6 10/(x+2)
