You've just posted six questions under two different names. And you've shown no evidence of any of your thoughts or attempts to solve them.

Please do not post any more questions until you've shown us some effort on your other posts.

If you don't respond within a couple of hours, I'll assume you're trying to cheat and will ban you from posting.

I am just needing some help I have a 50 question review to be done, and these are some of the questions that I have not been able to figure out. its really confusing for me and I sucked at the organic chemistry unit and its not one of my strong suits. I honestly just need help, even if you are to explain it in a way I can understand because my professor hasn't been able to.

Please go back and tell us what is confusing you. We have two or three great chemistry instructors, but they can help you much better if you give them a clue about what you know and don't know.

Since this is a review, I assume you've been studying chemistry for a while, and have learned something about the subject.

I have only been learning about chemistry since September and it is for a general credit. I have a hard time understanding how different things form structures and do not understand chemistry as a whole. I am an interior design major and don't do well with sciences at all. Sorry if it seems like I'm coming to the site just for answers, but I have been searching for the answers, have reviewed my notes, and looked through the textbook that was provided, this class is a huge lecture class and can be hard to get personal time with the instructor. This does not come easy to me, and I don't think I should be shamed for that.
I also do understand that I am using your time and resources, along with others who know about this topic, and am grateful for any help I can get. I have spent hours on this review and just need help to finish it.

I have already answered these questions as well and got them wrong, I don't know why.

If you post your work, a chemistry tutor can probably show you what you did wrong.

  • chemistry// organic -

Evidently you don't want a tutor to show you what you got wrong. Or???

i dont know how to put my answers on here because it isnt letting me upload pictures.

I don't know why you need to show a picture.

Let's take the above question. What is your answer? Why did you think it was right?

What type of reaction forms an alkaloid salt?

    a. The reaction between an amine and an alcohol.

    b. The reaction between an amine and an acid.

    c. The reaction between an alcohol and a base.

    d. The reaction between an amine and a base.

    e. The reaction between an alcohol and an acid

Would it be B because in order to form an alkaloid salt you would have to have an acid? By then what is an amine? I don't think it would be alcohol because that doesn't seem right.

okay really?? do you not think that I could have done that???? If that's what I needed that's what I would have done, however I need someone to just explain it to me in simple terms not some language that I don't understand.

  • chemistry// organic -

    Oh?
You asked "what is an amine?"

The first line of the Google search: "Amines are weak bases that pick up a proton to form ammonium salts. "

  • chemistry// organic -

okay but i still don't understand. was my answer choice correct or wrong
