Estimate this answer. Explain your reasoning

One half liter of lemonade concentrate is added to 3 liters of water. How many 1/3 liter of servings of lemonade are made?

Thx for the help you who is looking at this math problem

3 1/2 liters divided into 1/3 liter servings. What is your estimate of the number of servings?

Hint -- you'll have 3 servings in each liter.

Would it be about 12 servings?

Because 3.5 rounds up to 4 so you divide 4 by 1/3 since you know you have to keep change flip, it will turn out to be 4 times 3 which will equal 12 so that might mean that 12 is the answer since it's an estimate. Right?
Please tell if I am right and if I am not then please correct me
I have trouble with Math.

Either 10 or 11 would be good estimates.

However -- I'd take an easier way to estimate.

1 l = 3 servings
2 l = 6 servings
3 l = 9 servings
3 1/2 l = 10 1/2 servings

Ohhh thank you

I am appreciate the help and I really mean it because you are amazing:)

You are very welcome.

Is the answer 10 and 1/2 ??!

To estimate the number of 1/3 liter servings of lemonade that are made, we can apply some reasoning.

First, let's determine the total volume of the lemonade mixture. We have 1/2 liter of lemonade concentrate and 3 liters of water. So the total volume is 1/2 + 3 = 3.5 liters.

Next, we need to figure out how many 1/3 liter servings can be made from the total volume. To do this, we divide the total volume (3.5 liters) by the volume of each serving (1/3 liter).

Using simple division, we can calculate:

3.5 / 1/3 = 3.5 * 3/1 = 10.5

So, we can estimate that approximately 10.5 servings of 1/3 liter each can be made from the given mixture.

However, since we're dealing with servings, it's important to note that we can only have whole numbers of servings. Therefore, we should round our estimate down to the nearest whole number since fractions of servings are not possible.

Hence, we can estimate that approximately 10 servings of 1/3 liter each can be made from the lemonade mixture.
