What does "present day culture" refer to?

Is it just things that go on today, such as drugs and new technologies?

I just want to thank you all here for putting in time to help students. I really appreciate it!

Present day culture refers to about everything that is a part of the lives of Americans:

politics -- all sides
electronic gadgets -- cell phones, e-books, etc.
hate as in Nazi demonstrations
love as practiced by those trying to follow Jesus
many community organizations
education -- pride in schools
and so on --

The term "present day culture" refers to the customs, values, beliefs, behaviors, and practices that are characteristic of the current time period in a particular society or group. It encompasses the various aspects of contemporary life, including but not limited to social, political, economic, technological, and artistic components.

While drugs and new technologies can be part of present day culture, they are just a subset of the broader picture. Present day culture also includes trends in fashion, music, literature, art, entertainment, language, communication, social media, and even specific events or movements that shape society.

To stay updated and understand present day culture, it's important to keep up with current events, follow news sources, engage in social interactions, explore various forms of media (such as movies, TV shows, music, and books), and actively participate in and observe the world around you. By immersing yourself in these activities and being open to different perspectives, you can gain a deeper understanding of present day culture.
