In the car, they are headed west to find Sal's mother in time for her mother's birthday. Over the course of the trip, Sal tells her grandparents about her friend Phoebe's own missing mother. Just say something like, Sal was seperated from her mother... Then say the mother will not be coming back because it could further hurt the family... Just make it longer. Make it look like you know what you are talking about.
