Hi!

I have 2 questions. Teacher told me that I have to answer each question by an essay. But please just give me only 4 sentences if that's alright.

1. How does booker t. washington ideas in UP in slavery and avid's mission similar?

2. What are the similar ways in which avid prepares you for success in society and booker t. washington prepared his students for success in their society?
thank you for the help^^

I don't know what AVID is. I assume you do know, since you are in the class. Now, read the assigned materials about Mr. Washington's ideas and compare and contrast. How are the goals the same, and how do they differ?

I do know what AVID is, in general I do not know how the goals have been articulated in your class. This assignment seems to help you hone your critical thinking skills and your writing skills. Only you can do that.

Reed is correct. Only you can do this assignment.

Even asking someone else "just give me only 4 sentences" defeats the whole purpose of AVID courses, which are there to guide you into successfully completing your own work, whether in your current education, higher education, or your future career direction.

1. The ideas of Booker T. Washington in "Up from Slavery" and AVID's mission share similarities in terms of promoting education and self-improvement. Both emphasize the importance of acquiring practical skills to uplift oneself from marginalized situations. Additionally, they both emphasize the value of perseverance and hard work as means to achieve personal and societal progress.

2. AVID and Booker T. Washington both prepare individuals for success in society through the promotion of self-discipline and the development of crucial life skills. Both highlight the significance of goal-setting, critical thinking, and academic excellence. Furthermore, they emphasize the importance of building strong character traits like integrity, responsibility, and work ethic to navigate and contribute positively to society.
