I know that there is such thing as inversion of stereochemistry, but is there such thing as inversion of stereocenter?

Are stereocenter and stereochemistry the same thing or mean the same thing?

Thank you,
Vivian

I don't think so. Sterocenter refers to the "atom" that causes the molecule to be a stereoisomer while stereochemistry refers to the SUBJECT.
